Asankrangwa Kroye Kuo is a registered 501(c) organization in Virginia with the goal of providing charitable assistance to citizens of Asankrangwa in Ghana, West Africa.


About our Association

Why we exist...

Asankrangwa Kroye Kuo is a not for profit association formed to enhance the lives of the people of Asankrangwa in the Western Region of Ghana. It is made up of citizens and friends of Asankrangwa. Our main goal is to pull resources together and also find ways to collectively help the town of Asankrangwa in the areas of health, education and sanitation.

Our Executives

Gradis Addai


Ms. Addai is a native of Asankrangwa and has fond memories of growing up in Asankrangwa. Ms. Addai is always seeking opportunities to contribute to the development and growth of Asankrangwa. It is out of this passion that Ms. Addai initiated the formation of the Asankrangwa Kroye Kuo. As a former nurse and midwife, Ms. Addai is particularly interested in health and sanitation, particularly maternal and infant mortality. Ms. Addai is a mother of three children and continues to work in the healthcare industry.

Alberta Amoo-Boakye


Alberta is a native of Asankrangwa. Alberta has a passion for community building and knowledge exchange. She is currently a project manager for an IT company in Rosslyn, VA Alberta lives in Woodbridge, Virginia with her husband and children.

Ruth Eshun

Financial Secretary

Professionally Ruth has over five years of experience in the financial industry working for Wells Fargo, Capital One among other banks. Ruth is passionate about financial literacy as a tool for economic empowerment and the early education of young people about personal finance. Ruth frequently volunteers for the Junior Achievement of Greater Washington’s Financial Park Program. Ruth lives in Alexandria, Virginia.

Anna Danquah


Formerly a biology teacher in Ghana, Ms. Danquah understands the issues of community health and is passionate about using her knowledge in the field to assist people of Asankrangwa. Ms. Danquah graduated from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana with a Master of Philosophy in Science Education. She currently resides in Herndon, Virginia.

Philip Boakye

Out Reach Coordinator

A native of Asankrangwa, Philip is interested in raising the livelihood of people of Asankrangwa through community development. Philip Boakye resides in Ashburn, Virginia with his wife and children. He is a graduate of Takoradi Polytechnic (Ghana) in Auto Engineering. He currently works for Costco and Harris Teeter.
