What a treat to see these photos, Ruth. I was a PCV at Asanco from 1968-70 when the town had 4000 people and just two streets besides the dirt road leading up to the school. The Dutch doctor couple at the hospital at the time treated me for malaria. I’ve been back to visit Asankrangwa four times now, most recently in January, 2015, when I was shocked to be caught in a traffic jam on market day.
